Born and raised in Africa, educated in Europe, currently living in Austin - Texas.​

For most of my career I have been at the cutting edge of design. As an Art Director in various advertising agencies, a Digital Compositor and Visual Effects Supervisor for post-production in film and episodic TV. I am very fortunate to have met a lot of unique and interesting people and traveled to a lot of places in the world completely off the beaten track.​

 

Wherever I am — on the film set or in the studio, out in the field or in the workshop — I've always preferred to work with my head while getting my hands dirty at the same time.​

 

Finally hanging my hat in the VFX field and turning my back on Hollywood once and for all, I feel a sense of pride in creating something of my own every time I'm in my workshop. The sense of achievement at the end of a long project makes all the blood, sweat and tears (yes, quite often all three) seem worth it in the end.​

 

Husband to an amazing woman (married 20+yrs), father of two awesome sons and a Staffie pup who likes to chew off-cuts and lick his bits loudly during polite conversation. Currently accused of "settling down" - though the jury is still out till the kids go to college...​
